Renewing Member: Debbie Ducic

Debbie Ducic was one of the founding members of Women Can International Inc and will be presenting on our Social Media Mentoring Club on 20 May 2011 at 12:00pm (GMT+8).

So here is a little about Gutzy Woman, Debbie Ducic…

Debbie Ducic

Debbie Ducic

Debbie Ducic, also known as GutZy Woman, is  eve-olving just as the world is evolving… at warp speed! Just last month, Debbie  turned Expat… leaving a life lived mainly in Colorado, USA, to manifest her 30 year dream of a life “Down Under” as well as a citizen of the world. She and her husband of 30 years, Jozef, sold or gave away everything but 100 sq. yards of their most valued possessions and moved to Australia.  They bought a gently used 4 wheel drive and have been exploring the beautiful beaches, cities and hinterland of New South Wales, ACT and Queensland for the last 8 months. The current trend of “housesitting” has allowed them to be of service to Australian homeowners and their pets while living cheaply and truly experiencing the sites of the country and the flavour of its people.

Debbie created GutZy Women LLC in 2007 as a culmination of her passion for helping women achieve more equality and abundance for themselves and their families by using the power of computers, communication technology and the internet. GutZy Women has eve-olved as well from an education, mentoring and beginner oriented focus to the current  orientation focused on using  digital multi-media, social media marketing, mobile communication technology and authentic, spirit-based, community building strategies to create positive social change.

If you are into social entrepreneurship, heart-based marketing,  BALANCE and SUSTAINABILITY in your life and the universe… but want to have FUN, BEAUTY and ADVENTURE while on the journey…you owe it to yourself to join in the GutZy Vision! COMING SOON!

Fabulous Girlfriend Club Event!

Living RoomI have to say that I am really enjoying the Girlfriend Club Events at Merilyn Ide’s home. They just are so interesting…the discussions across a broad range of topics, the ladies that I am getting to meet and develop friendships with and the opportunity to encourage and help others find and take the next step in their journey.

Special thanks to Merilyn for opening her home. It has been so great to have a lovely home to gather together in.

We wish member, Lesley Dewar, a great and fruitful trip to the States.

We also encourage Rosemary in her new business venture selling magnetic jewellery. I was sincerely surprised that there is now funky magnetic jewellery, all the way from Germany.  Check it out if you have a moment:  www.rosie.energetixaustralia.com.au.

Loved the new business cards for Mandy’s business.  Looking forward to seeing Mandy help employers and employees unite together.

Also the very interesting Brenda who has done so many interesting careers, including driving those big trucks in the mining industry.  Thanks for the advice about how to help my son’s constipation.

And of course, our very lovely Treasurer Susan Briggs, who has relaunched her Yes U Can 4 Business Solutions arm of her business and is ready to help business people get their head around the bookkeeping aspects of their business.

Looking forward to our next event!

Fabulous Video…Check it out!

Feel the fear…

New Member: Chris Lucas

We welcome into membership, Chris Lucas.

Here is a little about Chris…

So who is Chris Lucas and what does she do?

“To give you an idea of who I am I would say that I am a self driven successful business woman with a passion to be the best at everything I do. I have consulted and worked with hundreds of business owners for almost twenty years supporting them in achieving their business dreams and goals.

Over the years I have won many awards including two Chamber of Commerce Awards last year for “Best Community Organisation/Contribution” and “Employee of the Year” and went on to becoming a finalist in the Business Enterprise Centre of the Year Awards for Australia in 2009. I have won several other awards including educator of the year for Australia, distributor of the year as well as several industry specific awards. For me this reinforces that I know what it takes to succeed and believe I am a great person to have work for and with you in your business.

I love studying and furthering my skills in all areas of business management and growth, and have undertaken many courses to ensure I stay on top of the latest trends and strategies available to be able to share with my clients. Marketing is one of my specialties and I have to admit I absolutely love it. I love assisting my clients with both online and offline marketing strategies that are affordable, simple, effective and easy for them to implement to help them grow their business and create the success they deserve too.

I am quite a generous person and love giving something back as a result last year I created a free Women in Business Network where I could do just that and at the same time help promote some of the most amazing business women I have met. You can find out more about our network at http://WiBConnect.com and I do hope join us and we get to connect with you too.

I would love to say a big congratulations to Hayley as it has been a pleasure supporting and watching Hayley blossom into the fabulous business woman she is today and would also like to say thank you for nominating me as a supporter of the month.

Here’s to your success!”

Anxiety Pt 2 – How can we manage it best?

Treatment of an anxiety disorder often involves several different strategies including:

Many people with anxiety problems may also have depression and may need help for both conditions.

Medicines

Prescription medicines for anxiety disorders include:

• Anti-anxiety and sedative medicines

• Antidepressant medicines.

Complimentary Medicines

There is a wide variety of complimentary medicines that may be suitable for mild anxiety, and you can speak to your Doctor, Pharmacist or Naturopath for further advice.

Self care

• Share your anxious thoughts and feelings with someone you trust.

• Learn about your anxiety disorder and how to manage it.

• Exercise at a moderate level for at least 30 minutes on all or most days of the week, to improve general health and wellbeing, sleep and mood.

• Learn and practice relaxation techniques to relax your body and mind.

• Get adequate sleep and relaxation.

• Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, including plenty of fruit, vegetables and grain foods. Limit foods high in fat, sugar or salt.

What are the six qualities we are looking for in our members?

A keen interest in making a difference in life

Our vision is to make a difference in the world around us.  We want to reach out into our communities and add something positive to their world. We want women who have that same desire to align themselves with us and to share their passions and dreams so that together we can make those dreams a reality.

A keen sense of themselves in relation to their world

We want women who are self-aware or willing to become self-aware.  Women who ask questions, who reflect and who desire positive change.

A keen sense of humour (should really be number 1)

I think this one is self-explanatory, as joy is something that this Association really values and we want people who are willing to laugh at life.

A keen sense of responibility and courage to respond to life’s difficulties

We want to empower our members to take responsiblity for their own lives and to offer the same level of empowerment to others in the organisation.

A keen sense of others and the ability to be respectfully assertive

We recognise that our members won’t always see eye to eye but we encourage a respectful approach to all interactions and live by the motto that it is okay to disagree.

A keen desire to contribute their skills and knowledge to the Association

We are offering some great benefits to our members and we have some expectations in return.  The Association can only function and grow if the members are willing to give of their time and ability.

New Member: Chizelle Salter

We are very pleased to welcome into Membership, Chizelle A. Salter. We asked Chizelle to tell us something about herself and what she does. Here is what Chizelle had to say…

Chizelle Salter Image

Chizelle Salter

Hi, I’m Chizelle and I’m the mother to three beautiful girls, one in her early 20′s, a 7 year old and a 3½ year old. I am currently homeschooling the younger children, while studying naturopathy via distance education. One of my main passions is my new business, Pure Bliss TV, where I host my own web tv show. What I love about being hostess is that I get to meet specialists who help others turn their dreams into reality and that is very exciting to me. There is also a community of like-mind people who come together to be inspired, educated and motived to achieve pure bliss in their lives, hence the title Pure Bliss TV. For those of you that are interested Pure Bliss TV has a new episode every Monday morning which features expert advice as well as interviews with specialists ready to transform your life. As I am a new member and I would really love to support the community at Women Can International Inc, I’d like to offer members a special 10% discount on all products in the store which include a range of raw, organic, vegan beauty and health care products as well as a range of superfoods that will rock your world and a flat rate of postage $10 anywhere in Australia. Also, if you would be interested in being interviewed on my tv show and having a chance to showcase your talents please do not hesitate to contact me and we can set up a time for a chat.
